Written in English by the author, and translated into Dutch by me and Roos van de Wardt. The novel was published by Chaos, a Das Mag imprint.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It's difficult to describe this book without spoiling the whole story, but some things you can expect from it: The Netherlands' post-war period, mysterious disappearances, a (hate-)love relationship between two women, a beautiful house in the Overijssel countryside, and an enormous twist at the end... <a href=\"https:\/\/www.athenaeum.nl\/leesfragmenten\/2024\/de-bewaring\"><strong>Read a fragment from Chapter 1 here<\/strong><\/a> .<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nederlandseboekengids.com\/20240411-ilse-josepha-lazaroms\/\">De Nederlandse Boekengids,<\/a> Ilse Josepha Lazaroms has written a beautiful review of the book, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.trouw.nl\/cultuur-media\/schrijver-yael-van-der-wouden-ik-wilde-eigenlijk-helemaal-geen-boek-schrijven-over-joods-zijn-en-de-oorlog~bd9636d9\/\">Trouw<\/a> interviewed Yael about her debut novel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">O, and: a second print run is on its way!
