I have recently been asked, together with my colleague Adiëlle Westercappel, to translate the impressive, authoritative new book The Message , by Ta-Nehisi Coates! The collection of essays treats several highly relevant topics, such as postcolonialism, book bans and the Israel-Palestine "conflict." Above all, it's about who has their stories heard, and everyone's right (and duty) to share their own stories.
The book will be published in October 2025 by Bot Uitgevers, and will be titled De boodschap. I'm very excited to start working on it!
